Welcome to the Shoeburyness Emergency Alert Service (SEAS), presented by QinetiQ, in conjunction with Essex County Council, Rochford District Council and Southend-on-Sea Borough Council.

QinetiQ manages the test and evaluation ranges at Shoeburyness and Foulness Island in Essex on behalf of the Ministry of Defence. The site is subject to the Control of Major Accident Hazards (COMAH) regulations as enforced by the Health and Safety Executive and the Environment Agency. Under these regulations, QinetiQ has a legal obligation to keep local residents and businesses informed of any issues concerning this site which may affect them.

Register for a SEAS account

By registering with the Shoeburyness Emergency Alert Service, you can receive incident alerts and the latest information by email, text and landline. Once you have an account, you will also have access to further information and resources.

Please note, you will need a valid e-mail account to register online. If you do not have an e-mail account, you can register by completing and returning the registration form provided in your Public Safety Information leaflet.

Registration for a SEAS account is quick and easy

1. Select to register as a resident of Foulness Island or a resident of Great Wakering/Shoeburyness.
2. Complete the registration form left and click "Add".
3. Validate your account by checking your e-mail and clicking on the link in the iModus message.
4. Choose your contact methods and add valid telephone numbers/e-mail address.
5. Click "Update" and you are now a member of SEAS and can log into your account any time to update your contact options.
